NFC Defensive Player Of The Month: Urlacher
(WSCR) -Thursday, the Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher was named the NFC defensive player of the month.
Urlacher led the NFC with 49 tackles in December. He also had three passes defensed one and a half sacks and one forced fumble. Urlacher's achievements has helped the Bears win the NFC North title and first round bye in the playoffs.
This is the second straight Bears player to be named the NFC defensive player of the month. Julius Peppers earned the honor in November.
