New practice facility for the Blackhawks?
Could the Blackhawks have a new practice facility high in the sky? Probably not, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy hitting the ice high above the streets of downtown Chicago. The Associated Press is reporting that the John Hancock Center will open an ice rink on the 94th floor.
From January through March, the public will have access to the 1,000-square foot ice rink. In addition to the new ice rink, the 94th floor also offers an open-air skywalk and cafe. The new ice rink is part of an effort to drive people to the Hancock's 94th floor during the winter months.
