New Pool, Swimming Lessons Coming To Spring Hill Mall
WEST DUNDEE, Ill. (CBS) -- In West Dundee, parents won't have to buy a membership at a health club or a YMCA for their kids to get swimming lessons. They'll only have to go the mall.
As WBBM Newsradio's Mike Krauser reports, Phoenix-based Swim University swim school is coming to the Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee, according to a Daily Herald report. The company builds pools and offers swimming lessons for kids.
The Daily Herald reports work is underway on a pool just across from Barnes and Noble at the mall. The 1,200-square-foot in-ground pool will be surrounded by a changing area, a viewing area for parents with wi-fi and TVs, a party room and a retail store, the newspaper reported.
Thirty-minute swimming lessons once a week will cost $79.
The hope is the business will draw more people to the mall, which is picking up most of the $400,000 construction cost. Swim-U will only put up $50,000 of the cost for furniture, equipment and fixtures, the Daily Herald reported.
Construction has already begun, the newspaper reported.
