New Child Sex Abuse Charges Against Accused Pornographer
JOLIET, Ill. (STMW) Videos discovered while police searched the home of a southwest suburban man accused of having child porn led to additional charges of sexual abuse and assault of a child, the Joliet Herald-News is reporting.
Stanley A. Reinke, 66, of 559 E. 12th St. in Lockport was arrested March 21 on four counts of child pornography after authorities say they discovered the porn on his computer.
Now he also faces two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.
Police searching Reinke's house discovered videos dating back 12 years allegedly showing Reinke sexually touching a pre-teen girl, court records show.
The victim, now in her 20s, identified herself on the video for police, according to a petition for an order of protection against Reinke she subsequently filed.
In the petition, the woman said she was in shock after seeing the video and that she had repressed many of the memories of the abuse.
Her petition was granted, and the order is in effect until a May 16 hearing, court records show.
Reinke — whose wife filed for divorce in April, court records show — remains in the Will County jail after bond on the latest charge was set at $75,000. He is scheduled to appear in court May 24.
The charges were the result of a joint investigation by Lockport police and the High Technology Crimes Unit of the Will County State's Attorney's office.
