Nearly Naked Man Jolts Doughnut-Shop Customers Awake
VALPARAISO, Ind. (STMW) -- Customers at a Valparaiso, Ind., Dunkin Donuts were treated to a little more than coffee and crullers courtesy of a Calumet City, Ind., man who police said was sleeping nearby wearing nothing from his waist down.
Police said Martin Battle, 32, was wearing only a gray T-shirt pulled over his head, and was tucked into a fetal position on the sidewalk about 30 feet north of the doughnut shop about 6:15 a.m. Sunday
When police arrived, Battle told them he had forgot his pants and yelled profanities at them, police said. The rest of his clothes were later found nearby, police said.
He was charged with public nudity and false informing for giving officers a fake name and birth date, police said.
