Ndamukong Suh Suspended 2 Games For Stomp
(CBS) Lions defensive end Ndamukong Suh has been suspended two games without pay for stomping on an opposing player during last Thursday's loss to the Packers, the league announced Tuesday.
After getting tangled with Packers' offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith, Suh got up from the ground and stomped his right foot in the direction of Dietrich-Smith, appearing to make contact with his arm. Suh was immediately ejected from the game.
After the game, the defensive lineman denied any wrong doing, but a day later he issued a public apology on his Facebook page saying, "My reaction on Thursday was unacceptable. I made a mistake, and have learned from it. I hope to direct the focus back to the task at hand -- by winning."
Suh can appeal his suspension within three days. If he does, an expedited hearing would take place this week, the league says.
