Nasty Weather Wreaking Havoc On Rec League Schedules
(CBS) -- As Mother Nature continues to dump water on Chicago, outdoor recreational sport leagues may have to go into extra innings to make up their games.
The National Weather Service says its Chicago office has issued 46 severe weather warnings and five tornado warnings during the first half of June.
Such nasty weather makes it tough to play for everyone from the Cubs to little leaguers to adult rec leagues.

Jason Erkes is the president of the Chicago Sport and Social Club, which is the biggest user of the Chicago Park District, scheduling games at about 60 outdoor facilities.
He says in the last seven weeks, they've had to cancel 20 out of 50 days' worth of games.
And the spring season was worse. He says they called off more games than they played.
That means they have to schedule makeup games at the end of the season, or in extreme cases, just skip them.
Erkes says most people are understanding and know there's nothing you can do about the weather.
