Naperville Homes Go All Out In Christmas Light Displays
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (CBS) -- On this eve of Christmas Eve, houses are all decked out with sparkling lights, ready for the big day.
CBS 2's Audrina Bigos reports in Naperville there are about 25 decked-out homes on a tour of lights.
Families roll through in their Christmas jammies to get a glimpse of the Kringleknoth House, one of many on the tour.
"This is our favorite so far," said Julia Homan.
Many fans point to the Santa in the window, and that Santa has a story.
"It's a rumor that Santa Claus or Kris Kringle is my mom's third cousin six times removed," said Debbie Knoth.
The Knoths took three weeks to make the masterpiece.
"Honest to God don't how many lights there are because we never counted," Debbie said.
And it's all to spread Christmas cheer to families who've made this a tradition.
"Every time we come, rain or shine, there's always cars out," said Kim Gilbert.
But there's something about the word "believe" that makes this house a lights landmark.
"I think it means believe in Santa because Santa is always going to there," said Ryker Czeback.
There are trolleys passing by every hour, but these homes have gotten so popular, that the trolley tours are sold out for the rest of the month.
