Motorist Exposes Self To School Children, Attempts Abduction, Police Warn
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are looking for a motorist who attempted to lure two school children into his car while fondling himself last week in the South Shore neighborhood.
The man followed two children from school to South Saginaw Avenue, where he opened the car door and told them to get inside about 8:10 a.m. Jan. 18, according to a community alert issued by Calumet Area detectives.
The children ran to the school, where they arrived safe without further incident, police said.
The man is described as a black man in his 20s with a light complexion, police said. He was wearing a "do-rag" and a gray jogging suit.
He was driving an older-model, four-door, black car with Illinois license plates on the rear, according to the release. The car appeared as if it was recently re-painted.
Anyone with information should call Calumet Area detectives at (312) 747-8271.
