Mother, Son Dead In Apparent Bolingbrook Murder-Suicide
BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (CBS) -- Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide as a man and woman were found shot to death in Bolingbrook Friday evening. Sources tell CBS 2's Courtney Gousman that they were mother and son.
Police were called to the home in the 100 block of Lake Shore Drive about 5:45 Friday evening for "suspicious circumstances."
Officers ended up forcing their way inside and found 69 year-old Alicia Coronel and her son, 37 year-old Anthony Rataiczyk, both dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Officers say they believe the son, Anthony Rataiczyk, executed the crime, first killing his mother and then taking his own life.
