Mother Of Man Fatally Shot By Police Calls For Release Of Dashcam Footage
(CBS) -- Now that the city has released the Laquan McDonald video, the mother of another male killed by Chicago police wants his video released too, reports WBBM's Nancy Harty.
Dorothy Holmes' son was killed a week before Laquan McDonald in October of 2014. Much like the dashcam video demonstrating McDonald did not lunge at police as the department originally said, Holmes says the video of 25-year-old Ronald Johnson will do the same.

"I'm asking that the mayor, McCarthy, Alvarez, release the video so that everybody can see that this officer is lying about what happened on that night when he murdered my son," Holmes said.
She says her son was unarmed and ran past police. Police News Affairs said back at the time of the shooting that officers were responding to a call of shots fired when they saw Johnson when they claimed he pointed a gun in their direction and was subsequently shot.
A spokesman for the Independent Police Review Authority says investigation is still ongoing into Johnson's shooting.
