Mother Duck And Her Ducklings Pay Visit To Suburban Store Worker
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (CBS) -- On June 10, Second Wind Exercise Equipment worker B.J. Thomas discovered a mother duck outside of the store he works at on 1229 East Golf Road in Schaumburg.
Upon discovering the duck hiding in the bushes on the corner of his store he noticed she was protecting something, a nest with eggs. Since discovering the duck, Thomas has been feeding it water and cheerios.
When Thomas went to open the store Saturday he witnessed the duck had disappeared. Thomas then turned around to find that the mother duck and eight new guests had stopped by to make a visit inside his store.
He escorted the new mother duck along with its eight ducklings outside of the store.
Thomas did not contact Animal Control and has not seen the mother or ducklings since the incident has happened.
