More Than 2,000 Home Depot Jobs Coming To Area

ATLANTA (CBS) -- Home Depot plans to hire more than 2,000 people in the Chicago area to work seasonal jobs in the coming weeks.

Altogether, Home Depot will hire more than 60,000 seasonal workers nationwide for the busy spring season.

The hardware and home improvement retailer confirmed to CBS 2 that more than 2,000 jobs will be in the Chicago area.

A company official said, "Spring is our Christmas."

Home Depot also said it will add some permanent jobs this year, but it has not been revealed how many.
