11 Cops Disciplined For Snooping Into Police Report Involving Mayor's Son
(CBS) -- A total of 11 Chicago police have been docked a day's pay for snooping around police reports about an attack on Mayor Emanuel's son.
Zachariah Emanuel was outside the mayor's Northwest Side home last December when two teens slugged him and stole his phone. One teen later pleaded guilty and got probation for the attack.
CBS 2 Chief Correspondent Jay Levine has learned that all of the disciplined officers, patrolmen, detectives and sergeants had access to the computer files, but weren't authorized to read them.
