For months, Chicago news media have been pressing a Freedom of Information Act case for details on the deaths.
The documents were sought from Cook County. They are mainly autopsy and other reports of the Medical Examiner's investigation into both deaths.
The report on Scott, who shot himself, says he fell 15 feet from a ledge into a foot of water and a .380 caliber handgun was recovered from under his body. No note was left behind.
The Chicago Tribune reports the Kelly report detailed his arrival at Oak Forest Hospital where a doctor initially told police that Kelly was OK but just needed rest. He died later of an overdose of pain medicine.
