Moore On Fallout With The Bears: 'It Hurt My Feelings'
(CBS) D.J. Moore is no more in Chicago.
The Bears informed the nickle back on Monday that they won't be bringing him back for the 2013 season.
"I expected it all year," Moore told The Score's Laurence Holmes on Monday night. "With the way the salary cap is, you can't afford to pay multiple players anywhere. If it's a player that could make a little bit of money, you probably just let them go and try to get a rookie because it's so cheap to have rookies these days that you just fill them in."
Moore fell out of favor with the Bears during the 2012 season, particularly former head coach Lovie Smith, after he openly criticized quarterback Jay Cutler for bumping J'Marcus Webb during a Thursday night game against Green Bay.

After Moore spoke out, he was benched and received little playing time.
"I don't think it was fair," Moore said. "Me personally, it hurt my feelings. ... I have all the respect for Lovie, but I just felt like even if he thought I was playing bad or if he felt I said something or stepped out of line that he would've backed me because he was the one that gave me the opportunity and taught me the position."
Moore is now an unrestricted free agent. The Bears drafted the 25-year-old in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
In 45 games over four seasons, Moore registered 10 interceptions and two touchdowns.
