Mom Wants To Thank Woman Who Saved Her Baby's Life

CHICAGO (CBS) -- It's one of the scariest things for a parent to experience: not knowing what to do when your child starts choking.

A Good Samaritan is being hailed a heroine for saving a baby's life.

Now, the one-year-old's mom wants to find the woman to give her proper thanks.

Sanovia Parks and her little boy, Devlon, went to Navy Pier's Winter Wonderfest yesterday to celebrate his birthday.

When the two got on the Ferris wheel, Devlon started to choke, but his mom didn't know what to do.

The ride finally stopped and Parks grabbed her son's lifeless body and screamed for help.

That's when a woman approached, started to perform CPR on the boy, and saved his life.

"She was in the right place at the right time," Parks said.

"Being a mother, that was the hardest thing watching my baby not breathe and not know what to do."

The little boy's birthday is actually today.
