Missing Person Alert Issued For Retired Chicago Police Officer
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Authorities have issued a missing person alert for a retired Chicago Police Department sergeant, who apparently walked away from his South Side home wearing his dress police uniform coat
Eldge Walton, 74, suffers from severe dementia and cancer. He was last seen Friday at 10:30 a.m. leaving his home in the 9200 block of South Blackstone, according to an alert issued by the Chicago Police Department.
Walton also was wearing his dark blue police uniform pants, a turquoise sweater and white and blue gym shoes.
He may also have his retired star with him. Walton retired in November, 2000 after serving for 36 years on the force.
He was not driving and does not have a weapon, according to his wife.
