LEMONT, Ill. (CBS) -- The body of a missing canoeist has been found, two days after he vanished when his boat flipped over in a retention pond near Lemont.
The body of Jeremy Asbell, 25, of Bolingbrook, was found Thursday morning in the pond near Woodward Avenue and South Frontage Road, in unincorporated DuPage County near Lemont.
Asbell and another man were out in a canoe in the pond when it capsized around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

One of the two males made it safely back to shore, but Asbell was nowhere to be found. The Lemont Fire Department ended up halting the search without finding the body Tuesday afternoon, and returned Wednesday with cadaver dogs.
The relatively small retention pond is choked with vegetation and plant life, and is difficult to navigate, reports CBS 2's Kris Habermehl.
