Milton Bradley Suspended One Game And Fined
NEW YORK (AP) Former Chicago Cubs, and current Seattle Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley will be fined and will also have to serve a one-game suspension after he was ejected from a game last weekend in Boston.
Bradley asked the players' association to appeal, delaying any penalty until after a hearing. Major League Baseball imposed the suspension on Tuesday.
Bradley hit an RBI double in the third inning of Seattle's 2-0 win Saturday night and was standing at second base when the problem started. After teammate Miguel Olivo was called out on a close play at first base, Bradley began arguing with second base umpire Gerry Davis and was ejected.
