Miller: Bears Were Starting To See The Cutler They Traded For
(WSCR) Up until the injury to Jay Cutler's throwing hand, he was starting to look like an elite, franchise quarterback.
Cutler had cut down on his mistakes and was proving he could lead this team to a playoff push.
"All the things that you envisioned about Jay Cutler where you could see that big arm and all the throws he's capable of making, I think it was on display," former Bears quarterback Jim Miller told The McNeil and Spiegel Show on Tuesday.

Now, with Cutler sidelined, Caleb Hanie will lead the Bears as they try to make a late run at the playoffs.
"They're not going to go out there and ask Caleb, 'You gotta win the game. This is all on you, Caleb.' I don't think that's fair to him because he hasn't played enough in his career to be able to take a game over," Miller said. "He's capable of winning game, though."
