Michael Jordan Banned From Country Club For Wearing Cargo Pants
(WSCR) La Gorce Country Club in Miami doesn't care who you are.
If you don't follow the rules, you will be banned.
Enter, Michael Jordan.
Jordan showed up wearing cargo shorts to play 18 holes - a major no-no at La Gorce. During the round, he was approached by club personnel who subsequently asked that the six-time NBA champion to return to the clubhouse and change his pants.
Jordan refused and was later informed he could not return to the club.
Here's a statement from Jordan's PR group:
Michael Jordan did wear cargo pants . . . He had been there many times before and had worn cargo pants previously, and had never been made aware that he was violating any dress code. This time, he was made aware of the violation on the 12th hole, and at that point . . . he did refuse to interrupt his game, and return to the clubhouse and change. We were not aware that he is not allowed to return to La Gorce. I guess it's their loss - as MJ is a great golfer, and a great guest.
