Metra Warns Of Double-Charging On Credit Cards
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Metra is alerting customers that some of them may have had their credit cards charged twice at ticket windows last Monday.
According to an alert on Metra's website, the commuter rail agency says it has been "notified by our credit card processing company that there were problems with some transactions which took place on Monday, June 27, 2011 at station ticket windows. These transactions were double-charged in error."
Metra says the credit card processing company "is working diligently to identify and reverse the additional charges for affected customers. They have assured us that there was no breach of security and that all credit card information is intact."
