CHICAGO (CBS) -- Starting this coming Monday, Metra will be giving away free tickets to try to get more people to try the commuter rail line.
Free Tickets On Metra
In addition, Metra CEO Alex Clifford said Metra is launching its biggest ad campaign in several years - costing just under $400,000.
They'll be giving away free one-way tickets on the Metra system, starting Monday.
Just go to the website and enter a drawing.
"Each Monday over the course of the next 14 weeks, 500 names will be selected at random from the entries. Those individuals will then be mailed a letter and two one-way tickets that are good for 90 days anywhere that Metra travels," Clifford said.
Clifford says Metra wants to recover from last year's 1.7 percent loss in ridership.
