Police tell the Sun-Times the two are believed to be part of a Romanian crime group and are known by the moniker "cash-out guys."

According to investigators, they use a piece of equipment called a skimmer that allows them to get hold of a bank customer's name and debit card number and use a hidden camera to get the password, the Sun-Times reported.

This information allows the crooks to create a phony debit card and help themselves to the cash.

The Sun-Times quotes sources as saying as much as $50,000 may have been stolen.

One man was arrested near the bank at Addison and Elston; the other at an outdoor ATM location close by.
