Megabus Agrees To $5 Million Settlement After Fatal Accident
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Megabus has reportedly agreed to pay more than $5 million to settle a lawsuit stemming from another deadly accident in Chicago.
Attorneys say a Megabus hit and dragged 64-year-old Wes Krueger as he tried to cross the street near Union Station back in 2010.
Krueger eventually died from those injuries.
In the past week, there have been three incidents involving Megabus, two of them fatal.
A bus burst into flames on Interstate 85 in Georgia on Wednesday
Everyone got off the bus safely.
On Tuesday, a Megabus near Chicago's Union Station hit and killed 76-year-old Donna Halstead.
And last Thursday, a Megabus from Chicago hit a bridge column near Saint Louis, killing a passenger.
