Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $355 Million For Tuesday
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- The new year could make one person extremely wealthy--or several people really rich--as the Mega Millions jackpot drawing this evening stands at $355 million.
The Mega Millions lottery is played in 39 states, including Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

This jackpot has rolled over 15 times since the drawing on Nov. 12, 2010, according to lottery officials.
The last time a jackpot was this big was in 2007, when two people from New Jersey and Georgia split $390 million. That was the biggest lottery jackpot ever. Tonight's jackpot would rank as the second largest for the Mega Millions game.
If the jackpot rolls again after tonight's drawing, the estimated new amount will be $480 million,
The drawing is at 10 p.m.
The odds of winning are more than 175 million to 1.
