Mechanical Problems Causing Delays On Blue Line
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Equipment problems on the Forest Park branch of the CTA's Blue Line have resulted in single-track service between the Harlem and Forest Park stations on that line Sunday morning.
The single-track operations have resulted in delays to riders on the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line, according to a CTA rider alert.
The CTA reports that the equipment problems occurred in the area of the Forest Park station.
Trains in both directions are operating on the same track between the Harlem and Forest Park stations as of about 10:30 a.m.
Riders are advised to board all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Harlem station.
Crews are working to restore normal service as quickly as possible, but the CTA is telling riders to allow extra travel time.
