McKnight: Expect Snow For Bears Game, Again

The latest in conditional controversy has come down from on high for the Bears - Vikings game Monday night. As of 11:00 am reports out of Minneapolis said it had already started snowing and there could be as much as five inches of accumulation by game time with 1-3 more during the game.
Here we go again.
Whether it brings to mind the 36-7 beat down at the hands of the Patriots or not, the Bears--and Bears fans--need to put the weather, the frozen turf and the lack of alcohol sales out of their collective mind. Not because of a "man-up or shut-up" attitude but because there's a chance to clinch a division title tonight against a team starting their third-string rookie quarterback and missing all-pro offensive lineman Steve Hutchinson.
The twist came out late this morning, however. Reports from all over say Brett Favre has been upgraded from out to questionable. The report goes on to say Favre will test his arm by throwing two and a half hours before the game. He'll likely be a game-time decision.
But, if Favre doesn't play, the focus for the Bears will be Adrian Peterson. Until Joe Webb--the aforementioned third-string rookie quarterback from the University of Alabama-Birmingham--starts killing the Bears secondary by throwing frozen rope after frozen rope, the Bears will pack eight in the box to lock up Peterson as much as they can.
Latley, Peterson has been more human than in years past but Bears fans know his history against their team. He kills them.
There's only one major injury for the Bears and, unfortunately, it's one that would help stop the Vikings running game if he were healthy. Linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa is listed as questionable and, according to reports, will not play Monday night. While the Bears have gotten solid play from backups like Nick Roach and Rod Wilson, Tinoisamoa starts for a reason and his speed might be missed.
