McHenry County State's Attorney Still Faces More Charges
WOODSTOCK, Ill. (CBS/WBBM) -- While the McHenry County state's attorney has been acquitted of corruption charges, he still has another trial looming ahead of him.
State's Attorney Louis Bianchi was acquitted Wednesday. His administrative assistant, Joyce Synek, was also acquitted on charges that she lied to a grand jury and destroyed political documents on her office computer.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Nancy Harty reports, Bianchi says a lot of people were hurt by allegations that he did political work on the taxpayers' dime – both in and out of his office.

"My good neighbor and friend Nancy Frioletti, who had nothing to do with this whatsoever, and whose name was besmirched unfairly – I feel sorry for all these people," Bianchi said.
Frioletti served as Bianchi's campaign manager.
Bianchi still faces additional charges stemming from the same investigation but for different conduct.
