McCarthy: Expect Beefed-Up Security At Game Three Of Stanley Cup
(CBS) -- Some of the fans in the stands at tonight's Stanley Cup Final match may not be who they seem.
Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy says there will be beefed-up security at the United Center.
"We have a plan in place -- we've actually expanded that plan to include a lot more components, including undercover officers at these events -- to ensure that we're on the lookout. And if anything were to happen we'd have a great, quick response," McCarthy told reporters at an unrelated event Monday.
McCarthy says his department is always conscious of the potential for terrorism. There are no specific threats to Chicago or the Stanley Cup series, he said.
