Martz To Retire From Coaching
(CBS) After not being retained by the Bears, Mike Martz has decided to retire from coaching.
The former Bears offensive coordinator was on the open market after his contract expired, but apparently didn't receive many offers.
He reportedly inquired about open head coaching jobs at UCLA, Arizona State and Hawaii, but nothing ever materialized.
Monday, Martz told Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network that he was going to retire. He previously worked as analyst for the network before joining the Bears in 2010.
