Marquette Upsets Syracuse, Moves To Sweet 16
In a matchup between two Big East foes, the Marquette Golden Eagles beat the Syracuse Orange to advance to the Sweet 16.
Darius Johnson-Odom scored the biggest of his 17 points on a go-ahead three-pointer with 27 seconds left, Marquette would win by a final score of 66-62.
Johnson-Odom led the scoring for the Golden Eagles, but Jimmy Butler (10 points) and Jae Crowder (16 points) were also in double digits.
Dion Waiters came off the bench for Syracuse and led the game in scoring with 18 points.
Marquette will play North Carolina in the Sweet 16.
