Manny placed on waivers
UPDATE 8/26: Developments keep flowing in regarding the rumors that Manny will end up on the south side. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported on Wednesday that Manny has made it known to friends that he would accept a trade to the White Sox. In today's Sun-Time Toni Ginnetti says that the Dodgers organization is taking a closer look at several White Sox prospects and that a talks are beginning to heat up.
August 25th: As expected the Los Angeles Dodgers have placed outfielder Manny Ramirez on waivers. This news was reported in a tweet by FOX Sports' Jon Morosi. The Sox have been rumored to be interested in acquiring the outfielder if he became available via waivers.
Any deal made by the White Sox for Ramirez could be put to a stop if any National League team or any team with a worse record than the White Sox puts in a claim for the outfielder.
