Mandela Vigil Held At Rainbow PUSH Headquarters
CHICAGO (AP) -- The Rev. Jesse Jackson led a prayer vigil for Nelson Mandela at the Chicago headquarters of his Rainbow PUSH Coalition.
About 30 people -- including a local Catholic priest who was born in South Africa -- took part in the hour-long vigil on Friday evening to honor Mandela, who died Thursday at age 95.
The Rev. Thulani Magwaza, co-pastor at St. Sabina Catholic Church on the city's South Side, offered a prayer for Mandela, who died Thursday at age 95.
Also in attendance was Vuyiswa Tulelo, the South African Consul General in Chicago.
