Rolling Meadows Police Seek Man Involved In Sexual Assault, 2 Home Invasions
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police in northwest suburban Rolling Meadows are seeking the public's help as it investigates two home invasions -- one of which ended in a sexual assault.
The attacks occurred two blocks apart, both between 6:30 and 7 a.m., the first occurring on Dec. 28 and the second occurred Saturday.
In the first incident, on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at approximately 6:45 a.m. in the 5000 block of Weber Drive, the intruder entered through an open window and demanded money; he was not armed. The intruder got scared off and exited through the window when someone else entered the room.
The intruder knocked on the victim's door in the second attack, on Saturday in the the 4800 block of Algonquin Parkway, forced himself in, flashed a knife and assaulted the woman.
The intruder is said to be Hispanic, between 5-foot and 5-foot-three tall, has a medium build, weighing about 160 pounds; wore dark clothing and both times attempted to conceal his face.
Despite that, with the help of one of the victims, police were able to develop a composite sketch of the intruder.
