Man Wanted For Attempted Sexual Assault On South Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are searching for man who attempted to sexually assault a woman in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood Friday morning.

Police said the man tried to sexually assault a woman about 7:45 Friday in the 4800 block of South Seeley Avenue after she had pulled over her vehicle to tend to a problem it was having, according an alert from Area Central detectives.

The man is described as white or Hispanic with a thick mustache, 30-40, 5-feet to 5-feet-4 and 150-170 pounds, the alert said.

He was wearing a hooded black sweatshirt and spoke Spanish with a heavy accent, the alert said.
