Man Wanted For 2 Rapes On Far South Side
CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted two women at gunpoint in separate incidents in the Far South Side Pullman neighborhood.
The first happened Dec. 15 at 8:20 p.m. when a 24-year-old woman was attempting to close her garage on 112nd Street between South Michigan and Indiana avenues, according to a community alert issued Wednesday by Calumet Area detectives.
The man grabbed the woman from behind, placed a gun to her head and forced her to walk east through the alley. He then sexually assaulted her and, as he left, told her, "Count to 100."
At 7 p.m. Monday, a 26-year-old woman reported a similar attack. She was walking on 118th Street between Racine Avenue and Elizabeth Street when she was approached by a man who grabbed her from behind, placed a gun to her head and forced her into an alley in the 11700 block of South Throop Street.
The woman was sexually assaulted, and again, the man said "Count to 100" as he fled, the alert said.
The offender is described as a black man, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 and 150 to 180 pounds with a dark brown complexion. He was wearing a black scarf, black sweat pants, black sweater and black gym shoes.
Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 747-8271.
