Man Tries To Lure Young Girl Into Car In Rogers Park
CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are looking for a man who tried to lure a 12-year-old girl into his car late last month in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood.
On Sept. 26 at 6:50 a.m., the girl was waiting for the school bus near the 7000 block of North Damen Avenue when an older vehicle, possibly a red Toyota or Nissan four-door, pulled up next to her.
The driver beeped his horn and motioned for her to come inside, a community alert from Belmont Area detectives said. The girl instead ran away.
The offender is described as a white man, between 45 and 55 with brown and gray hair, and blue eyes. He was wearing brown and black framed glasses with thick lenses. He had freckles on his face and a beard and mustache, the alert said.
