Man Tries To Lure Teen In Buffalo Grove
BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (STMW) - Police are investigating after a man tried to lure a teenage boy into a car near a northwest suburban middle school Thursday.
Aboutt 10 a.m. near Meridian Middle School, a 16-year-old Stevenson High School student walking near at Prairie Lane and Edenvale Drive saw a white 4-door car parked on the east side of Prairie, according to a Buffalo Grove police release.
The release said the motorist, a 60-year-old man, asked the boy if he needed a ride, then opened the passenger door and told the student to get in.
The boy ran to Stevenson and contacted his father. There was a delay in the report but officers searched the area for the vehicle, but nothing was found.
