Man Tries To Lure Girl Into Vehicle In McKinley Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man attempted to lure a teenage girl into his vehicle Wednesday in the South Side McKinley Park neighborhood.
The 14-year-old girl was walking south on Wood Street from Archer Avenue when a vehicle pulled along side her and a man began talking to her and asked for her phone number and address, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
The girl walked away but the man continued to follow her in the vehicle for several blocks, the alert said.
He repeatedly offered her a ride, asked to kiss her and offered to teach her sexual acts, the alert said.
The girl ran to a nearby fire station where firefighters helped her, the alert said.
The suspect is described as a white Hispanic man, 20-30 years old with short black hair, the alert said. He has facial hair but no mustache and piercings in both ears and his lower right lip.
He has a tattoo of a rectangular shape with green ink on his right forearm, the alert said.
The suspect was wearing a black "Sons of Anarchy" t-shirt and khaki shorts, the alert said.
The vehicle is described as a newer model, silver four-door vehicle, possibly a Chevy Malibu, a Toyota Camry or a Toyota Corolla, the alert said.
