Man Tries To Kidnap 9-Year-Old Boy On Southeast Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man put a 9-year-old boy and tried to abduct him on the city's Southeast Side this week, and now police hope a sketch will help them find a suspect.
As WBBM Newsradio's Bob Roberts reports, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said the apparent attempt occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the 9900 block of South Avenue H.

The man allegedly approached the child from behind and attempted to bear-hug him.
The boy managed to squirm free and ran on 99th Street as the man walked south on avenue H.
O'Brien said the man is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, is about 40 years of age and has a chubby build, brown eyes, black hair and an olive complexion. He was clean shaven with distinctive pockmarks and dumps on his face, with one such bump just below the bridge of his nose.
At the time, he wore a zippered jacket with angled red, white and blue stripes. Beneath the jacket was a white hooded T-shirt.
Calumet area detectives are seeking the public's help.
