Man Struck By Train, Critically Injured In Roseland
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was hit by a train in the South Side Roseland neighborhood Tuesday night.
Paramedics found him just after 8 p.m. near 114th Street and South Wentworth Avenue, Fire Media Affairs Chief Joe Roccasalva said.
He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. of Cook County in serious-to-critical condition, Roccasalva said.
A CSX train struck the pedestrian on Union Pacific Railroad property, said Union Pacific spokesman Mark Davis.
He deferred further comment to CSX, but a spokesperson was not immediately available Tuesday night.
