Man Sought In Englewood Jewelry Theft
CHICAGO (CBS)-- Police are seeking the public's help in finding a man who stole earrings from a jewelry store in the South Side Englewood neighborhood two weeks ago.
The suspect entered the jewelry store in the 6500 block of South Halsted Parkway around 2 p.m. on September 18th, according to a community alert from Area South detectives.
The man asked to see a pair of earrings and when the clerk complied, the suspect grabbed the earrings from his hand and ran out without paying.
The suspect is described as black man with a dark complexion, 18-23, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 with black hair and brown eyes, the alert said.
