Man Shot, Wounded Outside Far South Side Strip Club
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man in his 20s was fighting for his life Tuesday morning, after being shot multiple times while standing out a Far South Side strip club.
The man was shot by an unidentified person around 2:05 a.m. Tuesdsay outside the Factory Gentlemen's Club, at 12054 S. Doty Ave. near the Bishop Ford Freeway.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his groin area.
The man, who is in his 20s, was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
No one else was injured and police did not have anyone in custody as of later Tuesday morning.
The Factory opened in 2009, despite widespread unpopularity among area residents. In the days before the strip club opened in the spring of that year, neighbors gathered to protest, calling the establishment a symbol of "evil and principalities of darkness."
