Man Shot While Riding In Car In Bronzeville
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot while riding in a vehicle early Friday in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood.
The 21-year-old man was a passenger in the vehicle traveling in the 4700 block of South King Drive at 12:25 a.m. when shots rang out and the vehicle's back window shattered, police News Affairs Hector Alfaro said.
The man suffered a gunshot wound in the back of the head and the vehicle stopped at 55th Street and Indiana Avenue to contact police, Alfaro said.
The victim was taken in "stable" condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
