Man Shot While Fleeing Gunman In Garfield Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 35-year-old man was seriously wounded when he was shot three times in the Garfield Park neighborhood early Wednesday, police said.
The man was in the street talking to another male near West Madison Street and South Kostner Avenue when a shooter approached on foot and opened fire, police said.
As the two men ran away, bullets struck the 35-year-old in the back, arm and leg, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious but "stable" condition, police said.
No one was in custody early Wednesday as Area North detectives investigated.
