Man Shot To Death In Garfield Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot and killed early Wednesday in the Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 1:25 a.m. found the 27-year-old man lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head in the 3900 block of West Congress Parkway, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office could not immediately confirm the death early Wednesday.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
