Man Shot To Death In Ashburn Neighborhood
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed in a shooting in the South Side Ashburn neighborhood Wednesday morning.
Joshua Lowl was shot about 9:10 a.m. in the 2400 block of West 79th Street, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Lowl, of the 8200 block of South Talman Avenue, was initially taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 4:33 p.m., authorities said.
Police claim he is an admitted gang member, but a spokesman had no further details on the circumstances surrounding the shooting as of Wednesday night.
Area South detectives are investigating.
