Man Shot Several Times In Lawndale
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot several times during a drive-by attack early Sunday in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.
The 26-year-old mas was standing on a corner in the 2900 block of West Polk Street about 12:15 a.m. when someone in a passing vehicle shot him several times, police said.
He was shot in both legs, the abdomen area, and a finger, police said. He was initially taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, according to dispatch reports, but police said his condition had stabilized as of early Sunday.
Police did not have a description of the vehicle early Sunday.
No one is in custody, but Area North detectives are investigating.
